Global Link

Because of the lockdown, Global Link has changed the way we help refugees and asylum seekers. Instead of face-to-face support, we now provide support, advice and information over the phone, with interpreters. We can provide interpretation in Arabic, Farsi, Sorani, Tigrinya, Pashto, Albanian, Punjabi, Turkish, Spanish, French and German. Now, if face-to-face support is required, this can be arranged as an appointment over the phone.

On Mondays and Fridays, call Sophie on 07484 686947
On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, call Nadia on 07483 237596

Because of the lockdown, we are also working closely with City of Sanctuary and Lancaster & Morecambe College teachers to ensure everyone can continue to learn English online. We are also working with other learning partners to enable you to keep participating in other online learning courses.

We are also producing an online platform where we are sharing some of the presentations about Life, Work and Culture in the UK that we would have delivered at our Lunch Drop in.

Sara is continuing to help you find volunteering opportunities, though, at the moment, the best place to volunteer is at the Claver Hill Community Farm where you can meet other people, practice your English, and grow your own food.

Sara is also available to help you look for work, including helping you to write a CV. She works Tuesdays and Wednesdays and her phone number is 07485 180383
