Work and Employment
As a refugee you are allowed to take up employment. If you are claiming universal credit you are required to look for work and prove that you are taking steps into employment.
You will be required to look for jobs this can be done via:
We recognise that as a newly granted refugee getting into employment can be difficult hence we would recommend that you initially look at:
• Volunteering
• Work Placements
Both are extremely important to give you some exposure in the UK working culture, builds on skills and experience and will provide with much needed references.
